Tony Tarnacki Appointed as Forsyth Assistant County Manager

This former judge is Forsyth County's new Assistant County Manager - Forsyth News

Tony Tarnacki has been appointed to the position of Assistant County Manager effective March 27, 2023. Tarnacki will be replacing former Assistant County Manager Brandon Kenney who served in the role since 2021. The Council for Quality Growth looks forward to working with Mr. Tarnacki in this new role.

Tarnacki will oversee the Planning & Community Development, Parks & Recreation, Code Enforcement & Animal Services, Senior Services and Public Transportation Departments.

Previous to Forsyth County, Tarnacki has served as Chief Magistrate Judge for Dawson County Magistrate Court since 2009 and as an Adjunct Criminal Justice Professor at the University of North Georgia since 2013. Tarnacki also has served as a Juvenile Court Investigator in the Dawson County District Attorney’s Office.

He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the University of North Georgia and he is a graduate of South Forsyth High School.
