Special Gwinnett Advisory Guest: Congressman Rob Woodall

Sponsored by:

At Tuesday’s Gwinnett Advisory Committee Meeting, Council Members heard the latest happenings at the U.S. Capitol from 2nd Term Congressman Rob Woodall. With over 40 Council members in attendance, the crowd heard the Congressman’s concerns for the President’s healthcare plan and his emphasis on not just curtailing the rate of the growth of government, but his focus on cutting spending and a need for local citizens to play a larger role in what laws are passed in D.C.

“We are trying to bring those decisions back home and we are succeeding in that area, even in this era of divided government.”

Congressman Woodall stressed the importance of working together and the impact that citizens can have on legislators when they bring them new ideas.  He covered current issues such as sequestration, the effects of the new federal health care law and the impacts on small business and provided an update on the water issue facing Georgia.

A great meeting and a special thanks to Congressman Woodall for his  public service and speaking to Council Members.

A Special Thank You to Council Premier Member Georgia Power for sponsoring the breakfast
