Nick Masino Formally Sworn in by Governor Kemp to Serve on the Georgia Board of Economic Development

On June 29, 2023, Gwinnett Chamber President & CEO Nick Masino was formally sworn in by Governor Brian Kemp to serve on the Georgia Board of Economic Development. Masino was appointed to this statewide board in December 2022 and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this important role for Georgia’s economic future. He was joined by his State Senator Shawn Still, past Gwinnett Chamber Board Chair Jill Edwards, 2024 Board Chair Lanier Levett, his wife Suzanne, and a host of family members and Chamber staff.

Masino is also a longstanding Council for Quality Growth Board Member and we congratulate him on the appointment to the State’s Economic Development Board. We appreciate his leadership and impact in the Gwinnett County communities.

Nick Masino will serve as the 7th Congressional District representative. As President and CEO of the Gwinnet Chamber of Commerce, he oversees the business recruitment and retention efforts for the county, as well as implementation of the Partnership Gwinnett Strategy. To create this community-focused economic development initiative, Masino worked with public and private leadership to spearhead the initial plan, which brought approximately 250 company expansions or relocations, over 13,000 jobs, and more than $900,000,000 in investment to Gwinnett. Previously, Masino spent twelve years in Division, Regional and Territory Management. He was also the Mayor of Suwanee for eight years. A graduate of Ohio State University, Masino holds a bachelor’s in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. He and his wife, Suzanne, have three children.
