Join Council for Quality Growth Executive Committee Member and Comcast Vice President of External Affairs Andy Macke for Comcast Cares Day, the largest single-day corporate volunteer event in the country, on April 25, 2015. Each year, Comcast and NBCUniversal mobilize our employees, families and friends to work alongside community partners and public officials to improve the communities in which we live and work. In Metro Atlanta alone, Comcast Cares Day hosted over 4,000 volunteers last year and Comcast Foundation granted over $70,000 in Metro Atlanta to local partner organizations.
Since Comcast Cares Day began in 2001, its impact on local communities has been significant:
- More than 600,000 volunteers have given more than 3.7 million hours of service at nearly 6,000 project sites in local communities
- Comcast has provided more than $16 million in Comcast Foundation grants to local partner organizations to bolster the efforts of volunteers
- In 2014, Comcast NBCUniversal mobilized a company record 95,000 volunteers to make change happen at 820-plus projects in the US and in 14 countries around the world.
Comcast is hosting over 35 projects in Metro Atlanta between April 18th and April 25th, with the goal of mobilizing over 4,000 volunteers this year.
