Canton Considers Modifying Impact Fee Ordinance

On December 20^th, the City Council voted to amend the City’s Impact Fee Ordinance.  The changes are a result of a re-evaluation of the capital improvements program and associated costs.  The City will also be implementing a 3% administrative fee for all fee programs.  Previously, the City was only collecting the administrative fees for roads.  It also calls for an automatic escalating program for the CPI, which will allow adjustments as market costs adjust to avoid the need for future amendment votes by the City Council.
