MARTA Names Council for Quality Growth Board Member and HNTB Vice-President Jeffrey Parker as Lone Finalist for CEO

On March 8th, the MARTA Board of Directors named Council for Quality Growth Board Member and Vice-President for HNTB the lone finalist for the CEO position, vacated by former CEO Keith Parker to run Goodwill of North Georgia last September.  The agency is currently operating under the leadership of Interim CEO Elizabeth O’Neil.   Mr. Parker,  has previous experience as a transit executive, serving as Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Transportation from 2008-2011, Senior Director of Transportation Operations for MARTA from 2005-2008 and Director of Subway Operations for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority from 2000-2005.  He has served as a Vice-President for HNTB since February of 2011.  Parker will assume the CEO position upon a final vote of the MARTA Board.
