Dunwoody councilAt the May 4th Dunwoody City Council Meeting, Council for Quality Growth Government Affairs & Policy Director James Touchton provided the Council’s proposed revisions to City Council on the proposed Perimeter Center Overlay Draft. View the Council for Quality Growth’s letter to Mayor and City Council with a table of Comments on the latest overlay draft made to staff . While the new draft addresses some of the Council’s concerns such as removing signage restrictions and allowing preserved existing open space to count towards open space requirements, many concerns related to building height, materials and site planning were not addressed.

The Council has been involved with this overlay planning process since its initial kick-off in May 2014. Upon review of the prior draft in conjunction with several Council members, the Council for Quality Growth prepared a list of comments and met with Dunwoody Community Development staff to discuss addressing concerns on behalf of the development community in the new draft. We would like to thank the City for their continued work on the District and their consideration of the Council for Quality Growth’s comments.

Council Members are encouraged to provide additional feed. Please provide any comments on the draft overlay to Policy Analyst, Chelsea Hagood at 770-813-3374 or ch@councilforqualitygrowth.org or James Touchton at jt@councilforqualitygrowth.org
